The Society of Novi Sad Philatelists is one of the oldest philatelic associations in Serbia. It was founded on February 27, 1933. Immediately after its establishment and until 1940, the Society actively worked to popularize philately, organizing, among other things, four major exhibitions. During World War II, the Society’s activities ceased, and it was re-established in October 1946. under the name “Society of Philatelists (later also Numismatists).” The Society returned to its original name in 2017, remaining faithful to its primary goal of popularizing philately and documenting the history of Novi Sad. On the occasion of its 90th anniversary, the Society will issue a personalized postage stamp.
