The International Philatelic Exhibition will be held in Belgrade in 2027, announced the Post of Serbia.

The Union of Philatelists of Serbia and the Post of Serbia applied for Belgrade to host the exhibition, and at the just concluded International Philatelic Exhibition EFIRO 2024 in Bucharest, members of the Board of Directors of the International Philatelic Federation (FIP – Fédération Internationale de Philatélie) accepted the proposal.

Ratification of that decision is expected at the FIP congress in December of this year in Shanghai, and Peter Suhadolc (Slovenia) was appointed as a representative of FIP, as a consultant for the exhibition, with the assistance of Jigal Nataniel (Israel).

“By entrusting the organization of the world exhibition, which will be held for the first time on the territory of the former Yugoslavia, Belgrade has been shown the honor, trust and obligation to become the capital of world philately within the specialized exhibition EXPO 2027”, stated the Post of Serbia.

It was pointed out that Belgrade will have the opportunity to show its rich history and present itself as an open, hospitable city, readily accepting philatelists and lovers of postage stamps from all over the world.

The International Philatelic Exhibition will be organized by the Union of Philatelists of Serbia with the support of the Government of Serbia and the Post of Serbia.
