One of the most important Serbian philatelists, Predrag Cuki Antić, opened the exhibition “Principality and Kingdom of Serbia” at the PTT Museum, where he presented his two most valuable collections.
Antić emphasized how important it is for young philatelists to translate their research and passion for this hobby into exhibition work, and in this way to preserve parts of history and discover new details that would otherwise remain unknown.
The president of the Union of Philatelists of Serbia, Vladimir Milić, emphasized that Predrag Cuki Antić is one of the greatest philatelists we have ever had, and without a doubt the best Serbian exhibitor. Milić emphasized that Antić’s collection of Classical Serbia, which was presented to the wider world public through two exhibits – the exhibit of the Principality of Serbia and the exhibit of the Kingdom of Serbia, is essentially a story about the development of Serbian postal services, and at the same time about the development of the Serbian state.
The director of the PTT Museum, Marko Jelić, thanked Antić for organizing the exhibition, which is a testament to decades of collecting work, as well as for his efforts to, as a true patriot, return to Serbia the most significant and precious examples of philately of the Principality and Kingdom of Serbia.
The exhibition is open until June 25, 2025. Admission is free.
