The PTT Museum in Belgrade officially opened the philatelic exhibition “Serbian Aviation 1910–1919 and Air Mail of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia 1923–1941”, dedicated to the pioneers of Serbian aviation and their contribution to the development of postal traffic.
The exhibition was jointly organized by the Public Enterprise “Post of Serbia”, the PTT Museum and the Philatelists’ Association of Serbia, in cooperation with the author of the exhibition Aleksandar Boričić – an internationally recognized sports official, long-time official in sports organizations and a passionate fan of philately.
This exhibition project, Exceptional in scope and importance, it represents original postal and archival materials that testify to the development of Serbian and Yugoslav aviation in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition covers the period from the first aviation attempts and the feats of the pioneers of the airfield, through the establishment of airmail as a symbol of technological progress and a modern state, to the interwar period, when the Kingdom of Yugoslavia became part of the European airmail network.
The exhibition will be open to visitors from November 12 to 30, 2025, at the PTT Museum, Majke Jevrosime 13, in Belgrade.
